Each connected repository has its own settings page in Darkplane. Settings are visible to all contributors and editable by maintainers.

Who can do what

  • Contributors: See all settings read-only, view evaluations, and veto pending automated decisions.
  • Maintainers: Edit settings, enable or disable automation, and define routine paths.

Available settings

  • Automation level: The highest automation Darkplane may apply to this repository, from evaluation-only up to selective auto-merge.
  • Routine paths: Glob patterns describing the parts of the repository where changes are considered routine. Pull requests touching files outside these paths never qualify for auto-approval.
  • Required checks: The check runs that must pass before any automated decision is made.
Keep the automation level one step below what your readiness score allows for the first few weeks. Confidence should come from observed behavior, not from the score alone.
